This candle takes you away to a tropical island with the rich floral/woodsy essential oil combination of ylang ylang, lemongrass, elemi, sandalwood and cedarwood. If you close your eyes, it is just like the wonderful scent of a tropical evening.
The 8 ounce candle is poured into a hand-cut & sanded beer bottle bottom from the NWT brewing company (from right here in Yellowknife). Local recycling feels so good and it looks really cool!
The yellow and white beeswax is of the finest quality and provides an even slow burn without any black smoke. A small amount of organic coconut oil is added to prevent cracking and a wee bit of ECO-SOY wax is also added to help the candle to burn evenly.
The burn time for beeswax candles is longer than any other type of wax. Beeswax candles are said to produce negative ions when burned, and those ions help to neutralize pollutants in the air. They can help to eliminate dust, odors, and mold in the atmosphere which may ease allergy and asthma symptoms and improve the air for anyone nearby.
There are a few things that you want to do in order to ensure you get the longest burn time on your candles. The initial burn should be for a period of between 1 and 2 hours. Trim the wick down to between 1/8 and 1/4 inch after each time you burn the candle. Also, keep your candle out of windy areas and as a general rule, burn your candle for a minimum of 1 hour and a maximum of 4 hours each time.
Available in two sizes, the is a large 8 ounce candle that will burn for between 35 and 40 hours.....lightly scenting your room the whole time. The 4 ounce tin will burn for 25-30 hours.
