This soap is inspired by the beautiful lake where our family cabin is situated.
The blue colour comes from indigo plant crystals and is a rich denim-blue. Indigo was a popular dye during the middle ages. The Chinese used the plant to purify the liver, reduce inflammation and fever and to alleviate pain.
The soap is sweetly scented with Phathalate-free Green Tea & Pear fragrance oil and every time I walk by the soap on the curing rack...... I have to pick it up and enjoy the wonderful fragrance.
Luxurious oils like Sweet Almond and Extra Virgin Olive Oil are combined with Unrefined Shea Butter and Organic Coconut Oil. White Kaolin Clay that is rich in silicon and aluminum silicate provides silky slip to the soap which makes is especially good for sensitive skin. The White Clay also provides gentle exfoliation and cleansing while helping to improve blood circulation and removing impurities.
Decorated with a bit of dried Labrador Tea from the cabin yard.
All of my soaps are palm-free and made with ingredients that are rated safe by the Environmental Working Group. No nasties! Each bar is approximately 4 ounces.
