Cabin Chill candles include both coconut wax and soy wax for a 100% mix of natural, vegetable waxes. They are lightly scented with Orange, Cinnamon and Cedarwood Essential Oils. The scent in this candle is very subtle as it comes from the pure essential oils - no perfumes or chemicals!
The candle tops are decorated with dried flower petals from a couple different Yellowknife gardens along with a few lovely dried rose petals.
There are a few things that you want to do in order to ensure you get the longest burn time from your candles. The initial burn should be until the wax pool reaches the edges of the vessel. The diametre of the vessel is a good guide for how long it should take to complete the wax pool - Ex: a 2 inch diametre should take 2 hours to make a full wax pool - a 3 inch diametre should take 3 hours etc.
Trim the wick down to 1/4 inch after each time you burn the candle. For wood wicks take off the uneven charred bits but a bit of black on the wick should remain. Also, keep your candle out of windy areas and as a general rule, burn your candle for a minimum of 1 hour and a maximum of 4 hours each time.
Estimated burn times by size are as follows:
- 4 ounce 12-15 hours
- 8 ounce 30-35 hours
Both the candles in tins and glass jars are now made with whispering-wood-wicks.
