Don't you love to take your favorite candle with you when traveling?  Whether it be for work or pleasure now you can have your favorite with you in a convenient travel tin.

These candles feature white beeswax along with a bit of soy wax and organic coconut oil and are lightly scented with essential oils.  The Cabin Chill is scented with Cinnamon, Orange and Cedarwood while the Citrus Fresh is scented with Lemongrass, Orange and Lemon Essential Oils.  Forest Walk is the newest addition to the PLSC candles and it is scented with Pine, Spruce and Fir Essential Oils.  The Naked version is just that - unscented except for the sweet natural scent of the beeswax.

The burn time

The burn time for beeswax candles is longer than any other type of wax. Beeswax candles are said to produce negative ions when burned, and those ions help to neutralize pollutants in the air. They can help to eliminate dust, odors, and mold in the atmosphere which may ease allergy and asthma symptoms and improve the air for anyone nearby.

There are a few things that you want to do in order to ensure you get the longest burn time on your candles.  The initial burn should be for a period of between 1 and 2 hours. Trim the wick down to between 1/8 and 1/4 inch after each time you burn the candle.  Also, keep your candle out of windy areas and as a general rule, burn your candle for a minimum of 1 hour and a maximum of 4 hours each time.

Estimated burn times by size are as follows:

  • 4 ounce 15-18 hours
  • 6 ounce 25-30 hours
  • 8 ounce 35-40 hours
  • 12 ounce 60+ hours
